At Out There, wine and music are intertwined forms of cultural expression. We value bottles and records that are deeply rooted with their producers and evoke a sense of time, place, and pleasure…and we take great joy in sharing them with you!
Each quarter, we share wines that we are especially excited about and an album that echoes their mood — a sensory pairing that you can enjoy together or explore individually.
This winter, after twenty-two consecutive days below freezing here in Sawyer, we are feeling inspired to instigate our own seasonal shift into things that feel a bit lighter and brighter these days.
With that in mind, featured here are four wines guaranteed to perk up your tastebuds and a record that just might transport you to the white sand beaches of Rio.
WINTER 2026 WINES
Stranger Wine Co. x Out There ‘Pét-Nat’ 25 - an experimental sparkler that delights and surprises us with notes of grapefruit, stone fruit, ginger, coriander, and an umami finish reminiscent of fish sauce?! Exclusive to wine club only too!
Barbacan ‘Rosso Alpi Retiche’ 23 - this joyful Rosso expresses the diversity and beauty of the Alps ancient landscape, along with the traditional growing and winemaking processes that have remained essentially unchanged since the mid-1800s. It is medium-bodied with notes of violet, red currant, cherry, and black pepper with lovely, fine tannins.
Beurer ‘In Der Luft’ 23 - crafted from three of the wine world’s most typecast grapes (riesling/chardonnay/gewürztraminer) we adore this blend for its unpretentious and genre-defying expression of winemaking in a little-known and somewhat new German wine region of Swabia. (Yes, this is a dry wine!)
Les Vins Pirouettes ‘Eros de Vincent’ 24 - tart, complex, and floral, this biodynamic Alsatian amber expresses the terroir of Gueberschwihr, a charming medieval and wine-growing village. A perfect introduction to skin-contact wine, ‘Eros’ unfolds with a bold, palate-coating blend of juicy, ripe nectarine, peach, apricot flavors that playfully mingle with a funky-yet-fresh mineral foundation.
WINTER 2026 RECORD
Sessa - ‘Pequena Vertigem de Amor’ - São Paulo artist Sergio Sayeg’s third full-length album as Sessa is a collection of songs reflecting on his experience of becoming a father that “are a mix of personal chronicles and quiet meditations about life in the face of personal change, of experiencing something so big that you realize your insignificant size in space and time.” Entwining Tropicalia textures, cosmic soul, and late-night samba-jazz with poetic essence, these songs expand Sessa’s sound in electric, astral, and existential ways, while staying rooted in the deep, tender feeling of lived experience.
